The 1976 NCAA Wrestling Championships were held on March 11-13, 1976, at the Assembly Hall in Champaign, Illinois. The team champion was the University of Iowa with 140 points, which won its second consecutive title. It was also the first time a team from outside the state of Oklahoma had won the national championship since 1932.
